We talk about the crime-solving genius archetype that Arthur Conon Doyle unleashed on the modern era, the loyal and loving relationship between Sherlock and Watson, how Oscar Wilde influenced the character, the history of queerness in the Victorian era, and decoding the language and context of the 1800s. Plus, we touch on the many film adaptations of Holmes, why Watson is canonically sexy and an excellent fan-cast courtesy of thedrawingduke on Tumblr.
