BORAHAE! This week we’re joined by superfans, event organizers and sisters, Jules and Marissa Lee (she/her x 2), to discuss the worldwide fandom that has quite literally changed their lives; BTS ARMY. In our second BTS episode, we learn how Marissa and Jules went from introverts dancing on their couch to full-time organizers of sellout BTS events around Toronto. We also explore the fan community that surrounds the bestselling KPOP sensation (ARMY), how BTS’ fans elevated them out of obscurity, building community, fan gifts, second husbands, adult sleepaway camp and how one band can inspire a whole generation of young people to be a little braver. Plus, we take another shot at describing the band members without using the word ‘daddy’ (with mixed results).
